Foundations of Flow, all 4 Sundays in February
What is Flow? Flow refers to Vinyasa. In Sanskrit, Vinyasa literally means "to place something in a sacred and special way". In our American yoga classes, it means linking breath to movement.
This 4-week series, led by Jennifer Welding and Jeannine Logie, will focus on the fundamentals of a yoga practice, helping you develop a firm foundation so that you are able to safely and enjoyably move through a full vinyasa flow class. We will focus on alignment, proper breathing, and balance, as we delve deeply into common asanas (poses). Each week we'll break down and learn several essential poses, then put them together in a short flow to integrate breath and movement. This series will be of great benefit as you move forward on your yogic path, allowing you to feel confident, safe, and knowledgeable during your practice. As you become familiar with the techniques used to achieve optimal alignment in these poses, you'll experience a heightened awareness of the body/mind/breath connection.
When: Classes are on Sundays at 10 AM, February 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. Classes will be 75 minutes.

Who: Jennifer Welding, and Jeannine Logie will be teaching. Any yogi, beginner to advanced, is welcome to attend.
Investment: $25 for each class, $80 for all 4
Week 1, February 5th, 10 AM:
Child's Pose, Cat/Cow, Tadasana, Downward Facing Dog, High and Low Lunge, Warrior I and related postures (Pyramid, Humble Warrior), Warrior II and related postures (Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle)
Week 2, February 12th, 10 AM:
Cobra, Upward Facing Dog, Knees-Chest-Chin, Chaturanga Dandasana, Chair Pose, Sun Salutations A, Sun Salutations B
Week 3, February 19th, 10 AM:
Bridge, Full Wheel, Headstand, Forearm Stand, Shoulder Stand
Week 4, February 26th, 10 AM:
Backbends and Leg Balances:
Sphinx, Locust, Upward Bow, Camel, The Dancer, Tree, Warrior III, Standing Figure Four, Half Moon
